 As we finish out this 2022 year, it is getting easier to see the things that are leading to the downfall of the United States. We have a tendency to gloat over the good things that we’ve accomplished in the past year.  But, unfortunately we only gloat over the ones we agree with.  But let’s think on the things that are good for the people. 

    More than 61 million unborn babies have been killed in the U.S. by abortion since the Supreme Court Roe vs Wade ruling in 1973.  That’s more people than have died in all of our wars put together.  And now, since the Supreme Court put the ruling back into the hands of the states, we have a divided country on the abortion issue.  Some say we should be able to have the unborn children killed for any reason and some say that the unborn child should not be killed for any reason - even if the mothers life is in jeopardy.  Our country is divided over this issue. 

   Under our “Gender Identity” banner, hardened criminals that are male’s but self-identify as female are allowed to request a transfer to women’s prison’s.  this is happening in states across the U.S. and Canada as well as the U.K.

   I’ve noticed that Canada is allowing things that only a few years ago were very much taboo.  We know that whatever Canada is allowing, the United States will allow within a few years.  Canada has become known as a country where you can have yourself killed (euthanasia) for whatever reason you have.  I guess this has made the news around the world, so the Canadian government has put a temporary restraint on expanding “assisted suicide” to all that want it.  Canada has even come out with a coloring and activity book for children - on assisted suicide.  This book’s target audience is children between 6 and 12 years old! 

    As the U.S. continues to support the Ukraine with “whatever it takes” (per Pres. Biden) we are getting further and further in debt and according to Pres. Biden there is no limit.  In March 2022, the national debt was 30.2 Trillion dollars.  As we spend more and more (with no apparent limit) inflation will continue to increase.  Where is this leading us?

  With our support of the Ukraine people in their was with Russia, we are putting ourselves in a very precarious place with Russia.  Russia has many nuclear weapons - as do we.  Is Putin of a sound mind or will he eventually decide to use one on the Ukraine people - or the U.S.?

I’m reminded of Joel 2:28-32.  Yes!  There are those today who are seeing visions from the Lord God Almighty.  Take heed to what they say. 
   Joel 2:28-32 says:  The Day of the Lord

• ²⁸ “And afterward,
• I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
• Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
• your old men will dream dreams,
• your young men will see visions.
• ²⁹ Even on my servants, both men and women,
• I will pour out my Spirit in those days.
• ³⁰ I will show wonders in the heavens
• and on the earth,
• blood and fire and billows of smoke.
• ³¹ The sun will be turned to darkness
• and the moon to blood
• before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.
• ³² And everyone who calls
• on the name of the Lord will be saved;
• for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem
• there will be deliverance,
• as the Lord has said,
• even among the survivors
• whom the Lord calls.

• Take Heed.  Listen to what is said. 

• We ARE living in the end times and we don’t really have much time left.  Think what Sodom and Gomorrah did - and the Lord wiped them off the face of the earth.  Now consider what we have done in the present age - and continue to do.  Someone said that if the Lord continues to allow us (the U.S.) to continue the way we are going, He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.

• If you have waited and told yourself that you would come to the Lord and accept Jesus at the last minute then NOW IS THE TIME because this IS the last minute.  There is NOT much time.

   As we come into this Christmas season, 2022, let us turn out hearts to the Lord.  For it is He that has made us and not we, ourselves.  We tend to think that we are in this alone and that we (human beings) are the only intelligent beings there are.  We should remember our forefathers.  They looked to God, our creator, for guidance in their office.  Our nation was founded on the Christian-Judeo principles.  These are the very basic principles that we should all observe. 

   There is an all-powerful being that has created us .  He is all that is good. 

   His laws for the basis of the good human laws (they used to).

   We should observe this God as the creator and observe that laws that He has given us.
     This should form the religious and moral laws that our land is governed by.

   We are all created equal.

   We are given God-Given rights. 

     In the United States, we are fortunate in that we have a Constitution that is founded on the Christian-Judeo principles. 

     But unfortunatly the people in many governments are trying to manipulate the very basic principles - even when they are declared within the Constitution. 

  God created the heavens and the Earth and the people.  He created the people male and female.  Well, our present generation has decided that there should be more than just male and female.  But is it up to the creation to tell the creator that they are different that they were created?  It appears that we (the creation) are telling our creator (God) that He made a mistake when He created us.  But in reality, there are no mistakes made by God.  WE (the created) have made many mistakes, but the creator doesn’t make mistakes.  He has a purpose for all that He made.  After all, He is the creator.  He is the God of all life.  He is the ONLY God.  There is no other. 

   We are not the first to have these problems.  Paul spoke about the same type of problems that we are facing. 

²⁸ Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. ²⁹ They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, ³⁰ slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; ³¹ they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. ³² Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

So what are we in the United States doing?  We are ignoring God and doing what we want - because we can.  Verse 29 describes much of our nation - at least much of our government.  They have pushed God out of the government, out of the armed services (not entirely), out of the schools, out of the courts.  We ask the question, “What On Earth Is Happening?”.  If we look around, we can tell that it is our own ignorance that is proving to be our downfall. 

   We need to turn to the Lord God who created us.  Do not believe those who tell you that we were created out of a one in a billion (or trillion) chance.  Read the Holy Bible and it will explain much of it to you. 

   How should we live?  In Zechariah 7:9-10 the Lord tells us.  But see verses 11-12 also.

⁹ “This is what the Lord Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. ¹⁰ Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. Do not plot evil against each other.’

¹¹ “But they refused to pay attention; stubbornly they turned their backs and covered their ears. ¹² They made their hearts as hard as flint and would not listen to the law or to the words that the Lord Almighty had sent by his Spirit through the earlier prophets. So the Lord Almighty was very angry.

BUT WHERE DO WE STAND TODAY? ? ?

   This is a sad time for the United States.  We are killing babies left and right, spending money like it’s nothing, increasing the national debt like it’s nothing - and what is it all for?  To keep the ruling party in power.  At the present time it is the Democratic party, but in a couple years it may be the Republican party.  We’ll just have to wait and see. 

   We need to focus and remember what this country was founded on.  Our country was founded on the Judeo  Christian values and a belief that there is a God that is over us all - our creator.   But for the last 50 years or so, we have gotten further and further from the Godly values that held us together.  John Adams wrote (in the Federer page 10) “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.  It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

Some of our recent presidents had some insight into our need for the Lord.   Ronald Regan said at the Ecumenical Prayer Breakfast in Dallas, Texas   August 23, 1984,  "If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under."  It appears that we are headed in that direction.  We, as a nation, are putting God on the back burner and making our own “religion” where we are the one’s calling the shots; WE are the ones who say what’s right and wrong.  And it seems to be based on what the ones who think like us want. 

   It is appalling to see the results of some research of the Christians in the U.S.  Some of the recent serveys of Evangelicals revealed that they didn’t always hold to scripture. 
   

56% believe that ”God accepts the worship of all religions, including Christianity, Judaism, and Islam.�”     

 Nearly half believe ”God learns and adapts to different circumstances”€� (i.e., God changes).

70% “strongly agree €” that ”Jesus is the first and greatest being created by God”€� (a heresy long condemned by the church!).

• 38% see Jesus as “a great teacher, but he was not God.”

• 60% say ”The Holy Spirit is a force but is not a personal being.€” (Between this answer and the previous one, we see a denial of the Trinity€” even though, earlier in the survey,
   
• 97% agree that ”There is one true God in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit”€�.  Clearly, people are very confused about doctrine and theology and don’t really know what they believe!)
• 27% think “The Holy Spirit can tell me to do something which is forbidden in the Bible”€� and yet 94% agree that “The Bible has the authority to tell us what we must do.”

• 57% believe ”Everyone sins a little, but most people are good by nature”€� and 65% think ”Everyone is born innocent in the eyes of God.”€�
• 37% agree that ”Religious belief is a matter of personal opinion; it is not about objective truth.”

So you can see that the beliefs are all over the place.  We have the handbook, however.  The handbook is the Holy Bible.  This book is still available throughout the United States.  What some people don’t like about it, however, is that it tells us how to live our lives.  But many people don’t like it so they make up their own rules and then they complain because their rules aren’t followed so they make up more rules etc.  We need to go to the handbook - the Holy Bible.  God tells us how to live our lives.  Our society has gotten so far from the Holy Bible that we have unborn children we don’t want to have born, killed and thrown in the garbage.  In 2017 about 18% of pregnancies  ended in abortions - that’s 862,320 babies killed.  These were human beings created by God.  Do you think that God cried when each one of them died?  I think so. 

   Our nation is getting further and further from the way we should be living.  So is the whole world.  The Lord has foretold us how the end will be - and it doesn’t look like it is very far off.  Jesus is coming back and He will collect all the believers at that time.  If you haven’t accepted Jesus Christ as you savior then I suggest you do it now. Read the Holy Bible and turn to Jesus Christ.  He will save you from being condemned for the sins you have committed.

   This past Friday (June 24, 2022) ,the Supreme Court made a ruling that upset many people.  They reversed the 1973 ruling that allowed women in the United States the “right” to have an abortion..  Since the Supreme Court made this ruling and took away the “right” for women to have an abortion,  the decision to allow abortions  is now back in the hands of each state and will be decided  by each state’s elected officials.  It should be noted that an abortion is having an unborn child killed. 
    The unborn child, in most cases, is still alive when the “doctor” starts the abortion process. 
    The unborn child is NOT part of the woman’s body.  It is a separate body, living inside the mother.
    The unborn child has  a separate circulatory system, heart and brain.
    The unborn child has a different DNA from the mother.

   So the unborn child inside the mother is NOT part of the mothers body.  The desire to have an abortion is the desire to have the unborn child killed.  This is what is so sad about it.  And there are so many people that don’t even know what is involved in an abortion.  They think it’s something magical just like removing a blister or something.

So an abortion is having another life within the mother killed and then removed and thrown in the garbage. 

    But we should realize that the life that the “doctor” is killing and removing from the woman is a gift from God, the creator of life.  God made the life within the mother.  With an abortion, the woman doesn’t have to take any responsibility for her actions in having sex to get pregnant.  I know that it takes 2 to get pregnant.  But having the baby killed is not supposed to be used as a means of birth control.  I realize that it’s not easy.  You get caught up in the moment (of making love) - I’ve been there.  But take some precautions before going so far. 

    Remember, God created the life in the mother.  The life is beautiful.  Do not destroy it! 

   You don’t have to believe in God to know that there is a new life inside the mother and it is wrong to have it killed and thrown out. 

   This decision by the Supreme Court is tearing the nation apart.  Many people want to be allowed to have an abortion whenever they want.  They don’t really want to take the responsibility for their actions that brought about the pregnancy. 

But think.  What is right?  Is it really right to have a baby still in the womb killed because the mother and/or father  doesn’t want to take responsibility for their actions?  I realize there are other reasons why people decide to have an abortion.  But I’m getting at the right and wrong of it.  Is it right to have another person (the baby) killed because the mother and/or father don’t want to take care of it?

   The 1973 Supreme Court ruling for Roe vs. Wade (see the summary here) was made with a few stipulations that the courts have run amuck from since.  It was based on the “viability” of the baby in the mothers womb.  By “viability”, they meant the ability to survive outside the womb.  That has changed since then.  By sending the decision to allow having the baby in the mothers womb killed back to the states, at least it gets voted on - or the people making the decision get voted on.   Information of New York’s abortion law(s) can be seen here.  

   It does appear that many people don’t care about the “right” and “wrong” of having their baby killed in the womb.  They just want to do what they feel like.  If they can get what they want by shouting/screaming at others then they’ll do it.  The baby has no right to live according to them. 

   But let’s take a different look at things.  Whose baby is it that is growing inside the mother?  It is really God’s child.  God has given it life.  We - man or woman - can’t create life.  We only use what the Lord has given us - and yes, this does make life take form inside the mother.  But the baby inside the womb becomes a baby.  The baby becomes a young child.  The child grows and becomes an adult.  But that person is a product of God, the creator.  We aren’t supposed to have our own child killed.  Even if the baby is killed in the womb, it’s still a person that we’re having killed.  It is not our right to have a baby killed just because having the baby is inconvenient. 

Monday, May 30, 2022 - Memorial Day

   Much is happening in the world today.  Today we remember those who have given their lives for the freedom that we enjoy in the United States of America.  The freedom that we have was fought for and was not free - it was paid for by the many lives of those who fought in the various wars so that we, today can have the many freedoms that we have. 

  And let’s not be ridiculous.  Those freedoms are not the freedoms to do anything we want.  There are laws in our country that we are supposed to obey.  But the laws are not supposed to prohibit us from thinking a certain way. 

   I’m reminded about the recent shooting in a supermarket in Buffalo and the school shooting in Texas.  My heart goes out to the families who lost a loved one in these shootings.  In the Texas shooting, the main question is why did it take so long to kill the shooter.  Of course this needs to be discussed.  But it seems like the main reason the public wants to know  “why did it take so long”, is so they can condemn the one or ones who made the decision to wait so long.  Do you really think that the 911 operator or the police officer in charge of the operation isn’t condemning themselves?  I’m sure they are.  People died because of their indecision or misinformation - or whatever it was.  But we should let them discuss it among themselves so that they are better prepared for the next time - so the long wait doesn’t happen again.   What we (the public) should be doing is praying for the families of those who lost their loved ones.  We should also be praying for those who had a hand in it taking so long to disable the shooter.  These people are condemning themselves for the lives lost.  They need prayer too.

   Some would say that the answer to the shootings like the school shooting is to get rid of all the guns.  But, practically speaking. this would not stop the shootings.  It would be impossible to get rid of all the guns in the United States.  There are many people that have guns that are not licensed. To not allow them to keep their guns would be against the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. 

   But there may be other reasons why a person is not allowed to own a gun.  The main issue that is being focused on now is mental health.  But they do not look at all the brain input that our young people “learn”.  Many young kids play video games of shooting, killing and watching the blood and guts go flying around the screen.  After watching this for so long, a person will start to become desensitized to the blood and guts.  And some have tried out the real thing and realized that it’s not the same.  In some cases, because of this, they shoot themselves.  Our “experts” say the video games have nothing to do with it.

 I know it’s been a while, but a lot has happened in the world.  It seems like the items in the news are the same as they were last year at this time.  The only difference is how much press the subject is causing. 

I guess the the problem in Afghanistan  is over with - at least our government seems to be over it.  It seems that President Biden was boasting how good a job they did in getting the U.S. citizens out of there.  Many didn’t make it, however.  But that’s in the past news now so the government says no more about it.

One of the things that came up in the news when President Biden became president was the possiblity of “packing the Supreme Court”.  There are 9 Justices on the court now.  Congress could increase the number because there is no law that stipulates the number of justices to be on the Supreme Court.  One reason they could vote to increase the number would be because of a higher case load.  But another reason could be to put on more justices with the values that the governing party has.  That is now a possibility. 

But with our country so divided between the two major political parties, if the ruling party can install more justices with their political views, then they will be able to get more favorable decisions from the Supreme Court.  It really doesn’t make any difference what is right or wrong.  And many of our political leaders don’t care about right and wrong.  They only care about getting the votes for their political party. 

An issue that just came up again is the Abortion issue.  In 1973 the Supreme Court made a ruling that women were allowed to have an abortion - that is - having their unborn baby killed.   This was a federal ruling and has been on the books ever since.  The issue now is whether to give the issue back to the states to deal with.  Then the people of the respective states can vote on it to make it law or not. 

But this issue is not one that can be viewed just by feelings.  First of all;
   Is there life in the womb of a pregnant woman? 
   When does life begin as a human being? 
   Are we allowed to kill the baby or have it killed? 
   If it is a human being, is it considered murder to kill the baby while it’s still in the womb? 

We do know that t he baby in the womb is NOT part of the mother.  It is not part of the mothers body.  The baby has it’s own DNA, heart, blood, brain and nervous system and all the necessary parts to the body.  Is it really the “right” of the mother to have her unborn baby killed.  Even if she doesn’t see the baby killed, it’s still a baby!

Even if everyone accepted abortion as  a “right” that still wouldn’t make it the right thing to do.  In the Declaration of Independence it states what we are given by our  Creator.  These include Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.  When we choose to have a life terminated, that life does not have any liberty at all.  You may say “I want my happiness”.  But what about the baby in the womb?  It is still life.  It has a heartbeat, and it moves around.  We know that if a baby is delivered at 5 or 6 months the baby will cry.  So is the baby dead?  Of course not.  And babies have been removed from the womb earlier that that.  THEY ARE STILL ALIVE!

The Supreme Court will rule on the Abortion issue soon.  The ruling will either make it legal accross the U.S. or send the legality of the matter back to each state. 

It appears that someone put out a statement indicating that the Supreme Court was going to rule against Abortion being a fundamental “right” in the U.S.  Because of this there has already been riots and threats against at least one of the Supreme Court Justices.  This thing should not be done.  The Supreme Court has a job to do.  It is not supposed to be driven by the will of the people.  It’s supposed to make a decision based on the laws in the Constitution.  The court is charged with ensuring the American people the promise of equal justice under law and thereby, also functions as guardian and interpreter of the Constitution..
